add electrical sample contacts
For users that require a sample holder with electrical contacts, attocube offers PCB based sample holders with 12 contacts. There are different options available for the respective vacuum shrouds and positioner configurations. Please also consult the attoDRY800 vacuum shroud section for compatibility of shrouds with positioners and sample holders.
increase distance between cryostat & compressor
Usually, it's best to put the compressor into a separate (grey) room in order to minimize noise in the measurement laboratory. The default length of the high-pressure flexlines and electrical connections is 6 m (20'). In situations where this is not sufficient for a given laboratory, the flexlines can be ordered in longer versions. If this is done during the initial order of the attoDRY800 cryostat system, it is called an upgrade, and will result in a direct replacement of the original flexlines with 6 m length to one of the two longer options. In case the flexlines are ordered separately at a later point in time, it is called a retrofit, and the customer will get an additional set of flexlines and cabling. Hence the options are:

replaces water-cooled compressor
This upgrade item replaces the water-cooled compressor with the air-cooled version, and covers the additional costs. Please note that the air-cooled compressor features higher acoustic noise levels than the water-cooled version, and hence it is strongly recommended to install it in a separate grey room. Also note that the heat generated by the air-cooled compressor needs to be compensated for in the installation room.
