- polarizer enables rotation of the direction of linearly polarized light or its conversion into circularly polarized light
- analyzer selects polarization direction of the outgoing beam
- independent rotation of polarizer and analyzer, in order to match i.e. the crystalline axis of the sample
- both polarizer and analyzer available in manual, as well as in motorized configuration
